and the Church
ELCTG believes
in the equality of all God’s children. We therefore strive
to be a means of empowerment to our members, and to help them
rise to their fullest potential. We encourage and support the
natural development of persons within and without our jurisdiction.
We do everything in our power to help individuals and groups achieve
desirable personal and group goals.
In achieving
these goals we.
- Ensure
that gender, previous religious background, tribe or nationality
is not used against an individual and / or group within the
church.
- Ensure
that at the National, Regional, District, and Congregational
levels, women receive an equal share of the benefits and responsibilities
available in the church.
Where a woman
is not available to fill a vacancy, a woman is identified and
trained to eventually fill such a position.
